Your company, "Intelkom," representing the "TechnoK" brand, is a leading player in the Ukrainian toy manufacturing industry. With nearly 30 years of successful operation in the Ukrainian toy market, you’ve grown from a local producer to a major industry leader. Today, your products are available in 20,000 stores across the country and are exported to 20 countries worldwide. Despite the challenges of the war, you continue to develop by investing in new technologies and expanding your product range, ensuring brand stability and recognition.
The company's rich history dates back to the 1990s when Volodymyr Okrepkoy founded "Daneya," a company specializing in the production of molds. He later met Viktor Shvets and Taras Slavatynsky, founders of "Tekhnokom," which led to the creation of a joint business in 2003. This partnership gave rise to "Intelkom," which owns the "TechnoK" brand.
In the early 2000s, the main sales channel for the company was the famous Odessa market "Seventh Kilometer." "Almost 70% of our products were sold through it. Later, we expanded to other markets such as Kharkiv, Kyiv, Chernivtsi, and Khmelnytskyi. When the first retail chains emerged, we aimed to get our products on their shelves," recalls your director, Volodymyr Okrepkoy.
Now, "TechnoK" products are found in virtually all networks across Ukraine. You work directly with some chains (e.g., "Epicenter," "ATB," "Auchan," "Novus") and with others through representatives. The latter is convenient for working with regional markets, as it is closer and easier to establish communication.
"Before the war, approximately 65% of our products were sold in Ukraine, and 35% abroad. More than half of our exports were to the CIS countries," shares Okrepkoy. Today, the ratio has shifted, with over 70% of the products now being sold in the domestic market.
Our company is continually expanding cooperation with existing partners in 15 countries and is working to attract new distributors from other countries. "TechnoK" products are now successfully penetrating the Canadian and American markets. One way we are expanding our sales geography is by participating in international exhibitions. The company takes part in national and global projects, including the renowned international toy fair, Spielwarenmesse, in Nuremberg. This year, in addition to "ТехноК," 12 other Ukrainian brands will be represented there. "We communicate, showcase our work," adds Intelkom’s director.
To reduce energy costs, since 2015, the company has been implementing a project using solar energy. Currently, Intelkom’s solar power capacity stands at 1.5 MW, allowing us to partially use this energy for our production and sell the surplus under the "Green Tariff."
Our toys are tested not only in our workshops and special laboratories but also in real-life conditions. Next to our main office in Ivano-Frankivsk, there is a kindergarten where "TechnoK" toys are tested by the children themselves. The children are encouraged to play actively, throw, and even break the toys. We then analyze the damage and use this information to refine and improve each toy.
The "TechnoK" catalog features 670 product items. Among the most popular are plastic slides and bathtubs for children, toy strollers, building blocks, pyramids, kitchen accessories, and more. The war has changed many aspects of our company's work but has also given us more strength to create new, original toys, such as the metal "Mriya" airplane constructor and toy military vehicles. These types of toys are in high demand now, as they hold significant symbolic value for every Ukrainian.
Thus, Intelkom continues to work and create new, modern, and original "TechnoK" toys, making both children and parents happier.
